About this blog

By JeffreyRomano, April 21, 2008 5:05 pm

This blog is mainly about search engine optimization (SEO). This refers to methods practiced by marketers aimed at ranking particular web pages higher in search engines when specific keywords are queried. Here, I discuss various SEO topics such as Keyword Research, Link Building strategies and Site Architecture. The difficulty of the posts varies thoughI do make an effort to make them understandable for the rookie and intermediate marketer.

In SEO Malta, I also regularly write about other aspects of Internet Marketing and general Marketing principles. Don’t be surprised if you see posts about branding, email marketing, pay-per-click campaigns and social media marketing. From experience, I believe these are all topics which (should) interest many search engine optimizers.

Who should read this blog?

I believe this blog can be beneficial for a lot of people. SEO Malta is for the SEO newbie trying to filter through all the outdated information on the web, it is for the small business owner who wants to promote his site, it is for the web developer looking for e-marketing information, and it is also for those of you locked in your 9 to 5 routine looking for inspiration. I hope my work can inspire.

Why is this blog called ‘SEO Malta’?

Well, since this blog is aimed at the little guy, I figured that it makes sense naming it after a country that has integrated ‘being little’ into its culture. Malta is a little island state in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea, and it is also my home country. What I like about Malta is that this ‘underdog’ culture many times inspires the Maltese to give 110% in their work. I think this must be the attitude of the true SEO.

Admittedly, there is also another reason (too obvious to state) why I chose this name, but allow me this little lie and say this is only a secondary reason for this name. Fellow SEOs will catch my drift.

Can I contribute? How?

Yes you can and if you do, you will make me very happy :D . It shows me people like what I write. You can contribute by:

  1. -        Writing a guest post. This would be fantastic. There is a thrill that comes with publishing your content and having people comment on it.
  2. -        Comment on posts. It is always nice when someone leaves one’s thoughts about what one has read. It’s healthy for the brain too, it makes you reflect.
  3. -        If you like what you read, share it with your friends through social media. Twitter about it, share it through Facebook, or simply digg it.
  4. -        Contact me and tell me what your thoughts on the blog are, good or bad. It is always nice to see to receive other perspectives on my work.
